Exellent piece or art for really macro users, i have this atached to a 60mm macro and get much closer pics, check the pics i have posted here at amazon and you will see what im talking about, i really recommend it, also, if you are taking picture of a fly for exemple, some times they dont let you get really close, so, the extension tube solves this problem too. thanks and enjoy

I have considered this purchase over the last year and after just using it for two weeks I wish I had bought it last year. It does make auto-focusing a little trickier, and you lose infinity, it is well worth the extra "trouble" in figuring it out. I bought it mainly for macro but last weekend I spent hours in my backyard using this with a Canon 100-400L to capture hummingbird pics. They turned out awesome!

 "loose fit" 2009-08-26
By Walid Assal (Riyadh, Saudi Arabia)
i bought this accessory maily for use with my canon 180mm macro on my 5D mk2. i'm disappointed with this extension tube because it doesn't fit tightly. it's pretty loose on both ends. if it was cheap and not made by canon I would have understood and maybe accepted substandard quality, but a canon extension tube between a canon lens and a canon camera should fit perfectly. i have over half a dozen canon lenses and extenders and everything fits perfectly, then something as simple as an extension tube comes along and ruins my day. i hope this is an exception and not eveyone is facing the same problem.

This is an amazing extension tube and a great way to reduce the distance between you and your subject. I tried many closeup shots and found really handy to get close to the submit.

Since it creates a gap between your lens and the camera, the AF and getting the right focus distance can be a challenging job. However, once you have figured out the right distance you can do wonders with this extension.

I am really happy that my prime lenses can perform beyond expectation and it has increased my possibilities to take different shots.

I am also planning to get other tubes as this extension creates too much distance between the lens and the camera. I would now like to have different distances between them and hence try out other possibilities.

Works pretty well. Let's you focus alot closer than normal. The build is pretty good, although I wish it was just a tad bit more snug.

It comes with a nice table that shows you the min/max focus distances for all the Canon lenses with this tube attached. Comes in handy.

Only con is the price. Its a little more than I would have liked to have paid, but that's okay. I would buy another and double stack. :)
